Gluten Free Alternatives Gluten-free recipes contain no wheat, rye, barley or oat flours. Good substitutions are brown rice, millet, tapioca, soy, corn and potato flours. Brown rice flour is the most easily tolerated by Celiacs. There is no known cure for Celiac disease. It requires a switch to a Gluten Free Diet.
