Purple Urchin and a little dog named Quincy

Posted on November 09, 2016 | 0 comments

We now carry Purple Urchin soaps and bath cubes, made in Ottawa. High performing products as natural as possible (95% - 100%) with no synthetic preservatives or fillers.

Minimally processed, plant-based ingredients, vegetarian, and no animal testing because they love animals. How much?

Well, it all began with a little paralysed Dachshund named Quincy...

One day this past summer I was out walking Quincy in his custom made wheelchair. Quincy has posterior paralysis, but that doesn't hold him back from doing all the dog stuff he loves to do. He can play with all his dog friends, sniffing, barking, and chasing all things moving.

While we were strolling down a street in Smiths Falls, a man stopped his car, jumped out, and, pointing to Quincy in his wheelchair, exclaimed, "That's the best thing I've seen all day! That's wonderful that he's in a wheelchair and going for a walk. I love it. You just made my day."

He pulled out a business card and handed it to me. "Email me at this address. I want to send you a free soap sample."

The guy's name was Clayton Powell, and the company he works for is Purple Urchin.

It was the beginning of a great relationship with a great company. We're so happy to have Purple Urchin on board.

And Quincy the indomitable little Dachshund is still rolling.
