Fifty years ago, Foodsmiths began with a simple but radical idea: that our community deserved access to pure, natural food and that supporting local farmers was the key to a healthier world. As we stand here in 2026, celebrating our Golden Anniversary, we are overwhelmed with gratitude for the generations of families who have made us a part of their daily lives.

A Journey of Five Front Doors

They say that growth requires change, and if our history is any indication, Foodsmiths has never been afraid to grow. To find the space needed to house our expanding bulk bins, local produce, and natural wellness supplements, we have called five different locations "home" over the last five decades.

Each move was a milestone. From humble beginnings to our current flagship at 106 Wilson St W, every new address represented a commitment to better serve you. We've hauled heavy grain sacks, carefully transported glass jars, and set up our shelves time and time again—all to ensure that the spirit of Foodsmiths remained a constant in Perth, even as the view out our window changed.
