Ingredients

8 donut peaches

2 tbsp unsalted butter, cut into 8 cubes

2 tbsp brown sugar

1/2 tsp ground cardamom (or cinnamon)

Preheat the oven to 350°
Wash peaches, push the center to release the stone. Place into a baking dish. Tuck a cube of butter into each peach.
Combine the brown sugar and cardamom, spoon over the peaches. Bake for 15-20 minutes.
Top with whip cream or a drizzle of honey.
I spooned mine over a slice of cake, and topped with a cardamom custard from another dessert.
I had never tried donut or flat peaches before. The aroma was so concentrated and mouth watering I couldn’t wait to make something with them. This was an easy and delicious way to enjoy the flavourful treat.
