I have tried many chocolate chip cookie recipes over the years but my bakery recipe is the one I always come back to.

Ingredients

1 ¼ cup unsalted butter, at room temperature

2 cups brown sugar

2 eggs

1 tsp vanilla

3 cups all purpose flour

1 tsp baking soda

½ tsp salt

2 cups chocolate chips
Directions
In a stand mixer cream the butter and brown sugar. Add the eggs one at a time.
Combine the dry ingredients, add to the butter mixture and mix well. Add the chocolate chips.
Using a small cookie scoop (equal to 2-3 tbsp) scoop the dough onto a parchment lined pan.
Bake at 325°F for 10 minutes. Let cool on the pan for about 2 minutes then remove to a cooling rack. Don't over bake.
Recipe Note
I have added chopped pecans. If you would like to add pecans, cut back the chocolate chips to 1 ½ cups and add ½ cup pecans.
