Guinness Meatballs

Ingredients

1 pkg ground turkey (or beef) about 454g

¾ c panko crumbs

¼ c Guinness (or non- alcoholic stout beer)

¼ c diced onion

1 egg, lightly beaten

2 tbsp chopped italian parsley

1 tsp salt
-
few grinds, fresh pepper

1 can Guinness (or non-alcoholic stout beer)

¼ c ketchup
-
2 tbsp honey
-
1 tbsp molasses
-
1 tsp dijon mustard
-
2 tbsp finely chopped onion
-
1 garlic clove, minced
-
2 tsp cornstarch

Directions
Meatballs
Combine all ingredients, form into balls (about 1 1/2") and place onto a parchment paper lined pan. Bake at 350° for 20-25 minutes.
Sauce
Combine everything but the cornstarch. Bring to a boil, then reduce and simmer for 20 minutes. Whisk in the cornstarch and simmer for 5 minutes or until thickened.
Spoon over meatballs.
