Recipe: Snappy Momma

Shhh, it's Momma's Secret Recipe! A really unique taste profile. Add whatever makes you happy to this basic mocktail!

You will need...

  • Two Bottles Black River Tart Cherry Juice 946ml
  • Three Bottles Old Tyme Jamaican Ginger Beer
  • 1-1/2 inch piece fresh ginger peeled and finely grated
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint chiffonade

Put it together...

Pour juice and ginger beer into a tall glass pitcher. Add the grated ginger and mint leaves. Stir well. Add lots of ice cubes or some ice cubes and frozen whole cherries. Tastes great with rum or vodka.

Mint Chiffonade

This is simply thinly sliced mint. Start by washing and drying the fresh mint leaves. Remove the leaves from the stalk and stack about 5 leaves, aligning the centre stems. Fold the leaves into a cigar shape and using a sharp knife, draw the blade back to cut the bundle of leaves into long, thin slices. Be careful to keep your fingers curled under so you don't accidentally cut them.
