Garlic and Chile Shrimp

A bit of heat, a bit of sweet, this shrimp dish also makes a great starter, or serve on its own with a side salad for a sumptuous summer supper!
Ingredients

1 pkg. frozen shrimp, thawed

1 tbsp olive oil

salt to taste

1 tbsp olive oil

1/2 tsp ground turmeric

zest from 1 lime

2 basil leaves, chopped

5 garlic cloves, chopped

3 green onions, thinly sliced

sliced red chili pepper (1-2 tbsp)

1/4 tsp smoked paprika

2 tbsp chopped cilantro
-
1 tsp honey
-
2 tbsp fresh lime juice
Directions
Heat oil, sprinkle shrimp with salt. Saut 2 minutes. Transfer to plate.
Heat 1 tbsp oil, add turmeric, then add lime zest, basil, green oinion, red chili and paprika.
Add shrimp, toss. Add honey, stir and cook for 2-3 minutes.
Turn off heat, add lime juice and toss.
Add cilantro and stir.
