This week is all about summer desserts! This is a cake I have made many times, but I only had the raspberries in the fridge so that's what I used. A moist, easy to make cake that adapts to different fruit combinations and turns out beautifully.
Garlic Scapes are the curly shoots that grow up from the garlic bulb. They are brightgreen, and have a mild garlic fragrance and flavour. This recipe will refrigerate well for several weeks in a sealed jar.
We enjoyed grilled shrimp with these refreshing salads, grilled chicken or tofu would be great also. I combined the leftovers of both salads for a very tasty lunch the next day.
This is a quick, easy meal that has become one of our favourites. Add a tossed salad and you've got a very tasty meal. I have also made this on a pizza dough, and have added a smoky barbecue pizza sauce for a change up.
